Chicago Cubs honor our CEO, Ric Estrada, with Roberto Clemente Award

Ric received the Roberto Clemente award at the Cubs’ Hispanic Heritage Night game on Tuesday, September 11, as part of a pre-game ceremony celebrating the legacy of Hall of Fame outfielder and philanthropist Roberto Clemente. Cubs ace pitcher Jon Lester received the players’ Roberto Clemente award, which is the highest service and humanitarian honor for a player in the MLB.

The Roberto Clemente Award for community efforts honors Ric for his decades of leadership and dedication to human services, philanthropy, and government, in recognition of Clemente’s legacy of charity work. VIEW MORE PHOTOS

Back to School at Metropolitan

Metropolitan’s Healthy Minds – Healthy Children – Healthy Chicago (H3) program, in coordination with other members of the Englewood Clinic Coalition, spearheaded a hugely successful 3rd annual Back to School Fair!

H3, a pediatric health and wellness center where mental health is integrated with pediatric primary care, joined forces with UI Health, YWCA, Chicago Department of Public Health, Howard Brown Health, UIC Department of Pediatrics, and Chicago Torture Justice Center brought together more than 40 vendors for the fair.

Approximately 85 adults attended, and 130 children are now heading off to school prepared with a backpack full of school supplies donated by the clinic organizations and their partners. LEARN MORE & VIEW PHOTOS

Parenting Fundamentals

Meet a new cohort of Parenting Fundamentals graduates

The graduates of Metropolitan’s Parenting Fundamentals program devoted two hours each week for 10 weeks to learning positive parenting skills. They worked on connecting with their children, effective discipline, supporting school success, and their own self-care. VIEW PHOTOS
